Professor Dr. K. Devada

Dr. K. Devada obtained her B.V.Sc & AH degree from Kerala Agri University & Ph.D in Veterinary Parasitology, from Madras Veterinary College, TANUVAS. She has a total of 34 years of experience in teaching research and extension related to veterinary parasitology. She has several awards to her credit, some of them include the Fellow of the Indian Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (IAAVP), Fellow of National Academy of Veterinary Sciences (NAVS) and recently has been awarded as Emeritus Professor by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. Her field of research interest includes tissue cyst forming coccidia, particularly on Toxoplasma gondii and Neospora caninum for the first time in Kerala, India. She had also been involved in the development of precocious line vaccines against chicken coccidia. She has more than 80 publications, authored 3 books and 8 chapters.
