Dr. Chandrawathani

DR CHANDRAWATHANI PANCHADCHARAM is a veterinarian and parasitologist, graduating from Universiti Putra Malaysia with a DVM and MSc followed by PhD in veterinary helminthology from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala in 2004. She has worked at the Veterinary Research Institute, Department of Veterinary Services Malaysia in formulating strategies in worm and tick control for ruminants with special interest in herbal remedies. She was in the organising committee for WAAVP 2017 in Kuala Lumpur and received the WAAVP Honorary membership in 2019 recognising women in parasitology. She retired as Director for R&D in DVS Malaysia in 2019 and is currently the Chief Editor for Tropical Biomedicine journal as well as an active member of the Malaysian Society of Parasitology and Tropical Medicine, helping in organising local conferences and disseminating knowledge and information on parasitology and zoonoses to public and NGOs to create awareness.
